A national roundtable titled  “Guardian of Spiritual Heritage” was held at the S. Begalin Children’s Library in Almaty to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Sapargali Begalin, a prominent figure in Kazakh children’s literature.

The event gathered librarians from the Turkistan and Almaty regions, scholars, and descendants of the writer. Rysbek Letaev, Director of the Turkistan Regional Children’s Library, spoke about the educational significance of Begalin’s works for the youth. Special guests included the writer’s granddaughter, Gulnar Begalina, and great-grandson, Ernar Begalin. To mark the occasion, the Turkistan delegation gifted copies of the newly translated book “Love of Friends” to the Almaty library and participating students.
